We’re Rick and Diana
We’ve been married 42 years this December. Along the way we raised 3 children and have been blessed with 6 grandchildren. Home base these days is Georgia, though most days you’ll find us somewhere down the road.
Why We Hit the Road
We watched it happen more than once. Friends and family planned their whole lives around the day they’d finally retire and go see the country. Then that day came, and some ailment or diagnosis showed up first and took the dream off the table.
When it happened to a close relative, we made up our minds. We stepped out in faith, took the little bit we’d saved, and went chasing adventure while we still could. None of us is guaranteed tomorrow, so why bet your life on it being there?
The Rigs
We started out in September 2023 in a 2019 nuCamp TAB 320 Boondock, just big enough for the two of us. We called it “The Little Guy,” and it carried us a lot of miles.
This month we moved up to a 2026 Coachmen Catalina, 26 feet with no slide-out. It has room enough to bring some of the grandkids or a couple of friends along. We added double lithium batteries, double propane, and solar panels, because our favorite way to camp is off the grid, way out where the quiet lives.
Where We’ve Been
In three years we’ve camped and explored 35 of the lower 48 states. Here’s the funny thing we’ve learned: the more places we see, the longer the list of places we still want to see. This country just keeps on going.

Why Adventure Matters
Too many folks get stuck in the rut: home to work, work to home, day after day, until that rut turns into nothing more than a grave with the ends kicked out.
Adventure keeps you growing and learning, using every sense God gave you to live the life He meant for all of us. The outdoors is medicine. Give it some time, and it’ll cure what ails you.
About Our Gear Reviews
We only review gear we’ve tested and used ourselves. And we’ll tell it like it is. Not every product is a winner, and when something lets us down, we’ll say so. Just because we review it doesn’t mean we recommend it.
I’m just saying.
